The Great Controversy Over Your Health - Catherine Sinclair Has More Health Info

Believe me when I tell you there is a Great Controversy going on over your health. Big Pharma wants to make it as easy as possible for you to consume their dangerous and costly medications. Don't like injections? Try a pill. Pills not your thing? Try some cherry-flavored syrup instead.

The folks at the drug companies would deliver their medications in chocolate-smelling rays of sunshine if they could.

So I guess it's no surprise that the latest entrant into the billion-dollar migraine treatment market is a battery-powered, wearable skin patch that promises you relief from even your most intense headaches.

The only problem is that the new patch, Zecuity, may unleash a slew of "headaches" all its own.

Migraines are serious business for Big Pharma because they affect so many Americans. The National Headache Foundation estimates that nearly 30 million of us suffer from this painful and debilitating condition -- that's about 10 percent of the population.

And while Big Pharma would have you believe that a medication-soaked patch is the answer to all your pain-relief prayers, the research says otherwise.

In a trial of 800 patients, only a little more than half claimed they received headache relief after two hours from Zecuity. That's right -- it was essentially a coin toss.

And while you may be willing to take those 50 percent odds when you're sitting in a dark room suffering from a throbbing head, consider this: One of the listed potential side effects for Zecuity is heart attacks.

In fact, if you have any of the risk factors associated with heart disease, such as obesity or high blood pressure, you shouldn't be taking Zecuity at all!

So understand that when you toss that coin and bet on Zecuity, you could be betting with your life. And that's a bad bet when you have safe and natural migraine treatment options available to you.

The fact is, migraines are often caused by food allergies or nutritional deficiencies, and prescription migraine medications like Zecuity won't do a thing to treat the underlying causes of your suffering.

Dr. Wright recommends getting screened for food allergies and sensitivities, and working with a nutritionist to develop an appropriate diet based on the findings. You should also be tested for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) if you suffer from regular migraines.

After screening, consider using the following supplements: 200 milligrams of magnesium citrate two times a day, 200 milligrams of vitamin B6 twice a day, three feverfew capsules (which usually contain 100-125 milligrams of feverfew per capsule) two times a day, 200 milligrams of riboflavin (vitamin B2) two or three times a day, and a hypoallergenic multiple vitamin/mineral combination.

The natural route takes time, but it's safe, effective, and you'll never have to risk dangerous side effects for short-term symptom relief.

Dr. Catherine also suggests:

    Compare yoru vitamins
  • Add omega oils to your diet.
  • Place an ice pack or bag of frozen foods (peas is a good choice) and place on the forehead and one behind the head at the base of the neck. Place one drop of peppermint oil on the temples and one at the base of the skull. Be exceedingly careful to keep fingers and oil from eyes!
  • Relax and let nature take its course. If stomach is upset or you feel nauseated you may want to add  a tsp. powdered activated charcoal (from the health food store NOT charcoal used for barbeques) to a bit of grape juice and drink..
  • Next be sure to get your own personal health assessment for free.
